Can i freeze dlna

Site Help More. View This Post. September 30, at PM. I have two BDP-S players. Both have the most current firmware, and have been working well for many months. About two weeks ago, both players began failing to play videos over my network via DLNA.

The player is not frozen, and I can stop and resume playback. However, the movie will again stop, and if I attempt to continue too many times the player itself does lock up, and requires a power cycle unplug to restore. It is only using DLNA that they fail.

The problem is not the stream source, and not the network. The Sony players support all the video formats I have without transcoding, but to see if it would make a difference I changed my streamer settings to force transcoding for all files.

The players still freeze. I contacted Sony online chat, and we have tried all the usual steps, including reset to factory default settings. No change. I am ready to chuck these into the garbage, but I will never purchase a Sony product again unless this can be resolved. Hello atc, greetings and thank you for your post. I'd really rather not wipe and start again as re-setting the 'watched' flags will just kill me!! Do we think maybe network drivers??? I also noticed that there's no option to down-mix audio in the streaming and transcoding settings areas.

I tried a different emby port, no improvement. Tried direct connecting to modem, no dice. Here's a line from the server log showing latency when I'm streaming, I don't know what this means: Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Posted January 8, edited. Posted January 24, edited. I installed a bandwidth monitor tool and for the past week tested the following daily: -FTP upstream capping my connection at 10mbit for 30min.

I also replicated both these tests on my 2nd PC as the server with the same results. My original symptom is still present and believe the issue is with Emby, not my connection. How do I install an old version of Emby?

Luke Posted January 25, Posted January 25, Doesn't occur on all MKVs, but I can reproduce it on certain ones, every time, and the same location in the movie.

This issue can be caused by the format of the file since mkv is a container file or the video or audio sampling rate or bit size. It's also possible that it freezes due to too much data.
