What do prot pallys stack

Greetings fellow Tankadins. Of course the game allows you to have more, but my question is… is there any point in having more than defence and Or are these simply the targets to reach before then switching your full focus to stamina and spell power?

The Defence Cap is for Heroics, and for Raids. Exceeding this is not necessarily the best option since it provides 0.

The Crush Cap is While increasing this value is inevitable as you improve your gear, there is no desired number above Realistically, you want to be taking damage as a tank, so we can benefit from Spiritual Attunement, regenerating our mana based on heals received.

Your Defence Skill will exceed naturally, and your avoidance will also naturally exceed I mentioned parry-hasting in the last paragraph in the guide. Expertise is not a stat that any class or role can max out in Phase 1 or 2, really. If you are looking for an addon that will convert the stats in WoW to their actual percentages i. The link is through Curseforge It includes all stats except resilience at this time.

Brilliant thank you! I did try to have a search through curse forge but was obviously using the wrong key words. Will give this a try later, thanks again. I have not experienced a resist as of yet, but I will continue to monitor my Consecration ticks and change the above section if necessary. This was known all through Classic as well wowhead mentions it in their Paladin guide. I have gone ahead and updated the guide to include Consecration having a chance to miss on its first tick.

But I did add it. Seems more likely that you feel uncomfortable about being wrong. I did, in fact, notice a resist as of last night. Does this mean I lied? It means that as a tank, my mind was elsewhere rather than focusing in on whether a Consecration tick was resisted or not.

Could it have been resisted in the past? Mastery: Our mastery is very strong for physical damage. Mastery, Divine Bulwark , increases our chance to block as well as reducing the overall damage we take while we remain within our Consecration. In addition to this, mastery also increases our attack power which is a small DPS gain.

Critical Strike: This increases the chance for your spells to deal double damage. Unfortunately paladins have a very limited number of races which they can play and the better ones are actually alliance. Tauren: Endurance gives you more health which is always nice since paladins generally have a lower HP pool compared to other tanks.

Rings: You will enchant your rings with Enchant Ring - Tenet of Haste should be your go to enchant for both offence and defence as paladins scale extremely well with haste. Cloak: Enchant Cloak - Fortified Avoidance. Gloves: Enchant Gloves - Eternal Strength. Also as a super minor side point. I think this is because you can get very high uptime on SotR with basically zero haste. The actual defensive value of getting more haste is almost zero. We will see if the suggestions change once I model a harder tank fight in Nathria and test against that instead.

But there is usually a tank swap, which once again makes it pretty easy to live even with zero haste. We specifically try to offer a mathematically optimal solution for people to consider. Amazing, thanks for the insight and explanation. What is your item level? Only after 5 SotR casts? Hopefully with some logs!

I think that any time Haste is good, or just not bad for a tank or healer spec, it will end up being very popular. The simulator does use WoG once in a while, but most holy power will go to SotR because I found that to be a much more effective use of holy power.

Again thanks for the insight. For good or for bad. Another thing I would like to mention is that I have just been told to use Tempest of the Lightbringer instead of Relentless Inquisitor - same ilvl on the legendary, probably because of this low haste cap you are suggesting. Tempest of the Lightbringer is useless for prot. You should post a snapshot id showing Tempest of the Lightbringer being suggested.
